At today's lecture the teacher was talking lots about post-modernity and Giddens and so on and so on. And apparently it's all my background for my Applied Social Sciences degree at Uni of Warsaw. I didn't expected all those things I was studying there are so useful and applicable in marketing and events. Wow, I must say I have a perfect background and the match between my degrees!!
And then I remembered all those great moments while studying in Warsaw and missing those days! So I came back to our accommodation on my own. Before going to my room I went to the vending machine to get some coke and guess what!? Once I get to my room, I was starring at the can as there was something wrong with it. Something didn't work for me... Then I realised - all the words on this can are in Polish.
I feel a bit homesick. Maybe it's time to come back to Poland?!

Alice in Rome
After all, the main purpose of this trip to Rome was purely educational. In a very wide understanding of the word "educational". So we have lectures, we have time for sightseeing, we have time for beer in the park or on the river bank, we have time for meals together... But we also have our projects to do! So far we designed two events (working in small groups): a festival of music and surfing and also a farmers market. The third task was to choose an event in Rome, go there, see it and describe it critically. The two first parts are done. The third one will be done on Wednesday.
Cultural Monday evening. Sophie, Carmen, Catarina, other Carmen and me, we went to see Alice Nel Paese delle Meraviglie (Alice in Wonderland), a dance theatre by Compagnia Aterballetto. The show is a part of bigger dance festival Invito alla Danza. It was fab!! The story told by dance, rather contemporary than ballet, as I expected, but absolutely amazing. And great visuals! In an open-air theatre in the biggest park in Rome.
Thanks Rome for this wonderland!!

Found on the streets of Rome
Everybody knows Colosseo, Piazza Venezia or Vatican. But Rome is much more than that and I simply love capturing all those funny, odd, and inspiring little things.
Just few examples:

Please park your dogs here :)
You don't need to go to rainy Scotland to experience Celtic Festival. If you like Celtic culture better stay warm and dry in Rome.
Fancy a lift in a big yellow taxi?!
Better do. The scooters are dead...
Monkey. The Monkey.

The Nights Antique
We study hard during the days but there are still nights for some sightseeing. :)
Antique is my favourite historical period, so I'm really excited while watching all those stunning monuments.

Back online
Back online!
Eventually we were given online access so I can post.
It's really hot. And the sun is burning. Luckily 50+ sun cream does the job and protects my skin from truing into pomodoro.
Sunday - watching the football game at the big screen at Park Circo Massimo near Colosseo. Unfortunatelly no fiesta :( But Colosseo in the night time looks so impressive!! Before also a short sightseeing in Vatican and nearby area and walk alongside the river.
Monday and today - classes. Very relaxed I must say. Today we were talking about music festivals across the Europe. Maybe next year instead of muddy festivals in Scotland I should choose sunny ones in Portugal?!
